Spring:
May and June is usually when the mountains come back to life with the melting of the snows, wild flowers and sun.
It is also when the waterfalls of Kjosfossen & Rjoandefossen are at their best.
Summer:
June through September are the summer months at Reinunga.
If you are planning on biking the Rallarvegen then keep in mind that some of the highest parts can still have snow up until July (you can bypass this by train if needed).
Autumn:
September & October are good months for experiencing the mountains away from the crowds.
Although Myrdal has less northern lights than northern Norway, Months from September to March often prove to give us one or two nights of possible Aurora spotting.
Winter:
Good snow conditions usually extend from the beginning of December to the end of April.
The location near the Storeskavlen glacier, between the weather systems of the west and the east, produces fantastic powder snow !
